You need the right scripts. We’re here to write them.

There’s a lot of ambition and imagination in educational projects - ideas are shared, visions are sketched, and creativity runs free often before the budget is even in place. And that’s exactly how it should be.

The challenge comes when those ideas move from page to screen: dialogue that needs to sound natural, scenes that need rhythm, and concepts that need to work in production. What looks brilliant on paper only truly succeeds when it performs in production and, most importantly, in the classroom.

We bring it together. At Creative Listening, we bridge the gap between the author’s vision, the production realities, and the learning outcomes. We work collaboratively with writers and editors to ensure that what happens on the page translates seamlessly on screen and most importantly, in the classroom.

Our team pairs deep learning insight with professional screenwriting craft, turning complex outcomes into stories that teach, connect, and entertain. We bring creativity and bold ideas but always within scope. Years of experience have taught us how to get the most from every word and every penny, so your script works beautifully on the page, on set, and in learning.

We write across genres: dramas, vlogs, documentaries, podcasts, animations, explainers, grammar videos and so much more. Whatever the format, we make words perform - visually, emotionally, and effectively.

We understand pacing, character, and budget. We know how to make language learning feel alive.

Meet the team behind the words

Between myself, our Managing Director Gemma and a talented pool of scriptwriters, we have helped shape some of the most successful ELT and educational products in the world.

I am a professional screenwriter with a Cambridge DELTA, blending backgrounds in theatre, radio drama, and teaching. Gemma is a publisher and editor with years of experience commissioning and developing learning content for global audiences.

Together, we ensure every script hits the sweet spot where story meets learning and where creative ambition meets production reality.

Why it matters

When scripts are written by people who understand how people learn, how production works, and how stories land:

  • Learning goals become compelling narratives

  • Dialogue sounds human

  • Productions run smoother and more cost-effectively

  • Early scripting input can save budget in pre-production and influence decisions all the way through post-production

  • Learners actually care about what they’re watching

That’s what transforms content into real learning and ensures your investment works harder, from first draft to final cut.

Scripting fees start from £175 — and we’re super smart with your budget.
